Artist Statement By engulfing the viewer in the visual space the experience of the place can be brought into the personal space. It is the experience that I wish to share with the viewer removed of its social, political, and economic overtones. As the artist I can only control what effects the viewer's senses. It is the reaction that I cannot control, as all meanings interpreted from the work are subject to the viewer’s previous knowledge and experience. My aspiration is to affect the viewer both intellectually and intuitively. The goal is not just the reasoned explanation of the work, but also how it affects the viewer, and the relationship created.
