Well here are some of my last works I did after the book, there are 9 others I did after these and those seem to be the last ones I will ever do cause my hands not capable of drawing any more. In the late nineties I had a "little" accident , my right hand was crushed and my left arm was almost severed off in the middle of the forearm that shoulder got pretty messed up also but wasnt realized until a couple of years later when I started to use that arm more.

These 15 works are only about 5 by 8 inches big so the petite size available is almost the real thing, I worked them so small cause it was the only easy way to keep my hand still so I could control the pen and since they were drawn in straight ink with no pencil sketch first, I kept them small and very complex with no room for error cause mistakes are permanent with ink. The fades or shadows are just many small strokes real close together not smeared ink that would of been ideal if they would of been done on a much bigger scale, but they were not . They were drawn with mainly a standard medium Bic pen for most everything, for the hair thin lines a Sakura 005 drawing pen and thats basically it "less is more".

They were drawn from Jan 2002 through May 2003 I worked on a couple at a time depending on what my hand would allow me to do at the time be it drawing them, fades or that extremely painful damn stipple they would take at least a few months or more to do, others I have done have taken up to a year just for one. When these 15 were finished they became the only works of mine that I had copyrighted in 04, and the following 9 I decided not to have done cause my last 15 just sat around and I wasnt happy with how my "crippled scribbles" as I call it looks.

Since my brother and I were born we learned art from our father whom spent his whole life also doing art, well at least till we got half way into grammar school when he had to give his lifes work a long rest so we can have the things we needed for school and to survive. My brother stopped with his art in about 1992 but I kept going "you go so far sometimes you cant go back", I guess I felt bad about all my father had to give up for us so I figured possibly one day at least I might get our family name out there and my dad would not of wasted all that talent.

But in the end I guess I have failed cause of the diminished use of my hand not being able to draw for more than a couple of minutes without it going into a severe cramp that last way to long to keep doing it over and over. Well now here we are full circle now here on imagekind you reading this pathetic tale all made possible thanks to my mother who set me up with this site so people can see what art I have left to offer in the end, hope you like them its not much but its all thats left. Thanks for stopping on by and looking at least, J.
