Artist Statement With over 15 years of experience, Rafael Del Toro is an accomplished artist who has furthered his craft at Central St Martins and incorporated technological advancements into his work to create sophisticated and dynamic pieces. Del Toro's original pieces have been collected by high-profile clients with his works appearing in exhibitions worldwide and are present in private collections in several countries.

Del Toro's work brings the golden age of the erotic female nude to life with a touch of the swinging sixties and seventies, featuring restored, recreated, and re-imagined classic, retro, and vintage nude images of past and present icons. Del Toro reinvents these timeless images with bold and vivid hues, incorporating influences from Pop Art to Film Noir. Although his artworks appear to be a photographs, they are photo-realistic artworks created by using various methods, and finished by screen printing on paper.
