Description Artist: Dubh Artist's inspiration: 'Oil' boldly conveys the message that corporations and government have merged to become one and the same. The recent economic crisis has led to the nationalization of banks that furthers government's infiltration of all sectors of human existence. Corporate executives continue to prosper as the wealth and resources of the masses continues to rapidly decline. Poverty-ridden sovereign citizens are continuously forced into sacrifice for the money men and the oil men who have appointed themselves to serve as our gods and leaders - 'the all seeing eye'.Technique: original painting was created using artist's characteristic layering technique.
Hardluck Studios, Fairbanks, Alaska Member Since March 2010 Artist Statement Hardluck Studios is located on Hardluck Drive in the Goldstream Valley near Fairbanks, Alaska. We gave up our day jobs in 2007 to create and distribute artwork that inspires individuals to make the world a better place by making small changes in the way they interact with their fellow human beings and environment. Our resident artist, Dubh (pronounced "dove") has a passion for painting images in protest of the oppressions of people that are occurring on a global scale.
