Heidi Lee Warta, Sydney Australia Member Since December 2011 Artist Statement Heidi Lee Warta is of European decent & lives in the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney.
Beginning her artistic journey when she completed a 2 year Graphic Design Course at Randwick TAFE, Sydney Australia many moons ago.
She also studied life drawing, technical drawing, photography, pottery, colour and form for several years after.
She then went on to work as an artist in a printing firm for the next 4 years then travelled for many years living a life rich with adventure, soul searching and style. Heidi Lee acquired skills from artist courses where she learnt a wide variety of painting styles and techniques ranging from oils, mixed media, acrylic, colour & texture.
Heidi Lee’s work is passionate and vibrant. She endeavors to capture a life force and energy. The use of vivid colour and bold textures blended together gives her work a unique style, depth and a sense of heart felt emotion where she focuses on rich palettes and techniques.
Recently coming home from Indonesia, Heidi painted with disabled orphan children over an 18 week period where she helped raise over $20,000AUD for the YPAC Orphanage. This has been a profound turning point in Heidi’s life.
Favorite methods used are mixed media including fabric, plastic, metal, cardboard, glue, impasto acrylic, pigment, sand, oil and house paints. Working many layers to give depth and texture infusing wonderment and confusion leaving the viewer asking…

Having had several pieces hung and sold successfully in a mix of eclectic exhibitions, boutiques & cafes throughout Sydney Heidi Lee is ready to extend her career as an up and coming artist.
