Artist Statement I love celebrating the imagery found all around us each day, from the dew drops on a flower to the majesty of a fiery sunset. I am inspired by these revelations of God's power and love. I revel in the strength and character of women and proudly claim my heritage of pioneer women in Texas.

I have had a diversified career in the arts for over thirty years, having worked as a technical board artist, art director, art educator, painter, set designer, and photographer. I earned two degrees from Texas State University; one in commercial art and one in all-level art education. I have painted portraits, both human and animal, murals, landscapes, flowers, and still life. I have even drawn the portraits on the milk cartons.
