Artist Statement I am fascinated by places and the stories hidden in buildings, landscapes or the streets of past generations. When I take a photograph I always see it in the context of story. So much is written about the significant but most of life is lived in the shadow's of history. The act of photographing is a simple way to bring some light into those shadows and for contemplation on meaning and purpose around design, function and value past generations placed on these items. A still image helps us ponder context where it would be lost in hurried passing.
