Description Pangea, Greek for all land. A supercontinent that existed during the late Palaeozoic and early Mesozoic Eras (300 million to 200 million years ago - depending on your point of view) comprising of two large continental masses: Gondwana to the south and Laurasia to the north. Although originally one 'C' shaped landmass I was lucky enough to be there when it was starting to break up and form the modern continents as we know them today, so I felt obliged to photograph the event!
Stephen Maxwell, Bangor, County Down Member Since August 2008 Artist Statement I returned to photography and the digital age in the early 2000s after a break of about 18 years. I enjoy the immediacy of digital photography and I am not averse to post production work on an image. I enjoy walking and travelling and have my camera with me a s a consequence of these activities. Photography is a means of relaxation and I enjoy it for itself. I am glad that others enjoy, comment upon and even purchase my work.
