Artist Statement I have been teaching myself photoshop for the last two years or so and I became interested in photography during that time. I really enjoy abstract art and photomanipulation and for the past 6 months have moved more into the field of photography. When I first showed people some of my earlier work they seemed to enjoy it and it encouraged me to learn more and try harder. I'm currently in college working towards a media and communications degree with which I wish to pursue advertising.

My digital artwork is made up of things that I have imagined or everyday objects I see around me. I try to bend the pictures into the way I would like to see them with their colors and shapes accented by complimenting images. I see the work as an extension of how I feel about the focus of the painting whether it is the word Love, or lemons, or a friends moment of thought. I want to bring out the hidden meaning that we all know is behind it and bring the emotion to the front of the image.

My photography follows the same kind of logic. I felt like I saw beauty in so many places that I wanted to share with others. I wanted to take photographs of places and show them in a way that let others see the way I viewed them. I've only been practicing photography for a short time but I am constantly working to improve. Thank you everyone for your support!
