Description Oil on canvas with gallery wrapped edges, 18' x 36'In 1998 my wife (then girlfriend) was living in Germany and was in school New York. I traveled to see her there and we visited many places. I took the reference photo for this piece then and was inspired to paint it after looking through the photos with some friends.
Harry Boardman, Telford Member Since February 2008 Artist Statement I have been and done many things but the only one that fits is art. I have a BFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn but I don't really do what I went to school for (how many of us do?). The last few years have been about painting, drawing, getting messy, and staying that way. My amazing wife Heather is also an artist. She makes glass beads and handmade jewelry. www.hmbstudios.com We live in the woods of PA surrounded by farms, buffalo, trees, and beautiful views which many of my recent works are based on. Most of my work these days is either oil on canvas or ink & oil pastel on boards. I like large paintings with bold outlines, thick brush strokes, and color. Many subjects are traditional to this area's art history but my work tends to be more contemporary. I also paint do commissioned portraits of people, pets, buildings, your vacation pics...you name it.
