Artist Statement Lyuba Zahova was born on 27.02.1952 in Shabla, Bulgaria. In 1975 she graduated from the fine-art institute in Dupnitsa. Untill 1990 she worked as a fine-art teacher and director of the fine-art gallery in Shabla, Bulgaria. Since 1980 she is taking part in fine-art exhibitions. In 1990 she made her first solo exhibition in Germany.
Lyuba Zahova is painting landscapes, still lifes and modern compositions in oil. Her paintings are full with expression, her stoke is strong and radical. Her artworks are full of passion, movement and creative textures.
In 2005 Lyuba Zahova published her first book “Born near the lighthouse” – poetry and paintings.
In September 2006 Lyuba Zahova represented Bulgaria at the international art festival in Monastir, Tunisia.
