Artist Statement I'm Barbara Freedman-De Vito. I have been creating artwork
since I was a child and I have a degree in Fine Arts. Over the years
I have illustrated stories, created artwork for library and museum
promotional materials and for animal rights organizations, made
costumes, props and artwork for my storytelling and puppetry
performances, and developed educational materials. I have also created and conducted workshops for children and for university students, teachers and librarians on the arts of storytelling, puppetry and the creation of handmade props and have led art, humane education and environmental awareness
workshops for children.
