Artist Statement I am Hope Marshall a self taught, hereditary photographer and writer working under the unbrella of Perception Photography and www.perceptionphotography.biz.

Blossoming confidence brought me to the United States from Canada in 2001. My Husband and I and our 2 daughters, make our home near Evans Mills NY, along the edge of old Perch Lake. A sacred place with many photographic opportunities, I often say; “I don't need to go anywhere but my own backyard, it‘s all right here“. Our home on native land. "All in a dream, past, present and future. Calm, gentle movement upwards and on. A dream it once was, but now it is home".

My keen interests in History and travel have me adventuring, camera in hand. My catalog of artistic images spans the country sides of Jefferson & Lewis Counties of New York , Peach County , Georgia and Renfrew and Lanark Counties in Canada. My portfolio expands weekly, and I am open to comments and suggestions.

My art is the result of the tuning of the mind, to make the eye see something that it never saw before. To see the undercurrent of life, an ancient life, still living.

I hope to preserve the memory of human existance with portraiture. I endevour to prolong the dreams of the past with my artistic images of historical buildings and properties . I wish to encourage my fellow entrepreneurs with my freelance promotion work.

I am a published writer and enjoy adding my special touch to Greeting Cards with my poetry. I am a proud member of The North Country Artists' Council and ribbon winner at the Council's 60th Annual Art Show.
