Artist Statement Joe McCord is an acrylic artist with an expressionistic style. His subject matter is mostly botanical, organic, and landscape in theme. He uses heavy textures and lines to create an overall abstract presentation. The irregular use of color with heavy black lines in his work bends toward fauvism. His backgrounds hint of impressionism. Altogether, these elements combine for a truly recognizable and unique style.

Joe McCord lives in Paris, TX and currently serves as the Chairman of the Plaza Art Guild. His original acrylic art pieces reside in the Plaza Art Gallery located on the downtown square in Paris, Texas.
