Artist Statement Thanks for visiting my galleries; I hope you found something you like.

I've been fascinated by photography since I was a small child. The first camera I remember using was an old Pocket Instamatic that took a cartridge of 110 film. I'll never forget the magic of pressing the shutter, freezing a moment in time and turning it into a photograph. Later, at university, I had access to a darkroom and really enjoyed learning the craft of producing high-quality black and white prints.

Over the years since then my growing family and busy career meant I had less time for photography. But soon after my daughter was born I bought my first digital camera - a Minolta Dimage S304. Discovering digital photography took me right back to the magic of my first experience with that Kodak Instamatic and I've been hooked again ever since.

Photography is a unique test of both technical and artistic skill, but ultimately the goal is to create something unique and pleasing - it's the art you create that really counts. I've loved creating the work in these galleries, and I hope you see something here that you really enjoy.
