Linda Armstrong, Grand Junction, Colorado Member Since October 2006 Artist Statement Linda is a freelance writer, painter, and photographer. Her father was Charles F. Keck, a California scene painter whose estate is represented by the California Art Gallery in Laguna Beach. Her father taught her to take and process pictures when she was 10 or 11 years old. In those days, most ISOs were 15 and a 50th of a second was a fast shutter speed.
Linda has thousands of Kodachromes in her files, but today she shoots with a Nikon D80. She finds PhotoShop exciting and challenging. She continues to paint. Her current works are abstract expressionist acrylics on canvas.
Linda's first collection of contemporary free verse, Early Tigers, was published by Bellowing Ark Press (Shoreline, WA) in 1995. She is currently working on a new collection "Bahkti." She also writes educational materials for several major publishers. (http://www.lindajarmstrong.com)
