Art Of Myth, Los Angeles Member Since March 2008 Artist Statement I grew up behind an art school in Hollywood where my friends and I would sneak in on weekends and look at the glorious mess the students had made during the week. (We also saw a great deal of art.) Across the street, on Camrose Avenue, an artist colony thrived. This is where I spent my childhood. I spent hours watching these artists and asking them about their techniques. I would go home and try to imitate them. I was a spectacular failure. Nevertheless, I still loved how vibrant colors caressed the canvas.
