Description A cascade of poppies as part of the 100th anniversary remembrance of the First World War. The ceramic poppies appear to tumble from the top window of the former Town Docks Offices (now Whaling Museum) in Hull's Queen Victoria Square.
John Elliott, Kingston upon Hull Member Since August 2018 Artist Statement I work in watercolors, oils and acrylics, taking inspiration from the changing light on the east coast of Yorkshire UK. Born in the Lake District, he spent his early years in the Peak District, moving to Hull to enjoy his career as an architect. I now work full time as an artists and have exhibited in the Ferens Art Gallery Kingston upon Hull, Beverley Art Gallery, Bridlington Artwaves and the Scarborough Art Gallery. I am a member of Hull Art Circle, Hull Street Artists and David Thomas's watercolor group.
