Artist Statement Brian Francis, Photographer,
Brian Francis has thought, on several occasions, that he has lost his mind. He actually once considered being an engineer, though the scars from his public school endurance tell another story. Since graduating from the tutelage of the Art Institute of Seattle, Brian has played in a grunge band, owned his own portrait business, been president and CEO of a virtual reality and web site design company specializing in travel, and founded Brian Francis Photography. His clients range from Mirage Resorts to Sotheby’s International to Tiffany’s, which benefit from his more than 20 years as a professional photographer. When he’s not shooting a camera, he often is swinging a sword: Brian is a Third-degree black belt in Iaido, a Japanese Budo martial art.
