Artist Statement I am a sef-taught artist. I live in South Louisiana and have lived here all my life. I have been painting for 5 years, since the death of my beloved sister, Tossie. I started painting to get through the grief and fell in love with it. I try to paint every day. I paint mostly acrylic on a variety of surfaces, but I love colored pencil. My art varies in content. It depends on my mood. Sometimes I paint flowers for weeks, sometimes just silly stuff. I'm not sure what it is that dictates what I paint, but I just go with it.
