Description 'Propeller' is a black and white art print of the propeller on an old military airplane. During an air show at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona, we were allowed to walk around the grounds to look at the different aircraft they had on display. When I saw this aircraft, I thought instinctively that an abstract shot of portions of the plane would make a great black and white art print. In reviewing the many different shots I took, this one stood out. With just the propeller in the shot, it has an abstract feel to it. Using the black and white makes the contrasting color tones stand. It also allows the shapes to take center stage. I'm happy with the way this black and white shot turned out. Black and White art prints work in almost any interior design and compliment a room with their simplistic, clean look.More Artist Information:Additional prints available on Kirt's Gallery - www.TheWallGallery.comFollow my work:Blog: http://thewallgalleryblog.wordpress.com/ Google+: https://plus.google.com/b/113998712261783920634/+Thewallgallery/postsTwitter: https://twitter.com/KirtWallGalleryFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/TheWallGallery.KirtTisdaleCopyright 2014 Kirt Tisdale / TheWallGallery.com
Kirt Tisdale, Sherman Oaks Member Since February 2013 Artist Statement I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
