Description READY TO RUMBLE by Lynn Bauer - An old blue truck (a 1927 Dodge Graham) sits next to the pumps at the Shell station in Bodie, California. I'm pretty sure it's already been gassed up, because it definitely looks like it's ready to rumble!!! (And, I'm wondering if this pretty boy has had a paint job...because he's looking pretty spiffy among all these relics!)Bodie is the largest preserved ghost town in the country. It is a state historic park, which draws many visitors each year to observe how life was in the 'olden days.' This old town is filled with historic buildings and old cars and trucks. The streets remain much has they were back in the 1800's and early 1900's. It is wonderful to roam the streets of Bodie, getting an idea of what it was to live so many years ago. Some of the towns old buildings can be seen in the background...including the mine, which is the grey building in the upper right side of the image.
