Stacey Simons, Derbyshire Member Since July 2013 Artist Statement As a photographer I love looking at the world through a lens and seeing everything from a different point of view, the idea of capturing staged or unexpected images excites me. Whenever I can I like to go out to different places and events and take photos to capture the moments, sometimes I edit some of the images in Photoshop or Illustrator to manipulate the photo and depict a meaning or a story.
I might be a photographer but I still work in different medias and trying out different techniques that might not be associated with photography like drawing, painting, textiles and fashion, 3D and crafts.
I enjoy the freedom to work independently but I am always happy to share and discuss my work with others; as they'll be able to help me or point something out that I might have missed, also their views could be different to mine and I respect their ideas.
