Description 'Red Poppies' is an art print done with one of my daily prayers as an overlay on an art print I have done using an abstract watercolor technique of two red poppies. As a Christian artist, I seek to make sure that the prayer I am using is a good marriage with the art print I put it on. In this particular case, I wanted to share a daily prayer of mine. Knowing I was looking for a print to put this on, I was trying to determine what type. I wanted something light and simple, yet bright and upbeat. I had just completed this print and decided it was the perfect match. The next step was determining the font and placement of the prayer. Both decisions fell into place pretty quickly with this print as the result. I liked the way it turned out with the subject matter, style of painting and the words.More Artist Information: Additional prints available in Kirt's Gallery - www.TheWallGallery.comFollow my work:Blog: http://thewallgalleryblog.wordpress.com/ Google+: https://plus.google.com/b/113998712261783920634/+Thewallgallery/postsTwitter: https://twitter.com/KirtWallGalleryFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/TheWallGallery.KirtTisdaleCopyright 2014 Kirt Tisdale / TheWallGallery.com
Kirt Tisdale, Sherman Oaks Member Since February 2013 Artist Statement I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
