Artist Statement Rosemary Gishler taught school art, married a Presbyterian Minister, raised 5 daughters, ran a camp in Chautauqua, NY with her husband and went back to college to get her Masters and Doctorate (almost) degrees.

After her husband died of ALS in 1986 she and her daughter went into real estate in Muncie but she always dreamed of painting, watercolor especially because she had never worked in that medium. So after 17 years in real estate, 15 of them as Broker Owner of a RE/MAX franchise that was very successful, she retired at 87 yrs. old and started painting.

Rosemary died at 89.99 years old in 2010 but her paintings will live forever.
