Description This painting deals with breast cancer. Through the use of symbolism I am showing what mankind is doing to destroy the planet, and ourselves. The large figure is an allusion to Mother Earth and the Amazon River. The figure in the lower left is rather mannequin-like, slightly veiled, and is missing her right breast. The figure in the upper right is turned away from the destruction, and the breast cancer. There is a determination to not get the disease. There is a cross just below the figure in the upper right, which represents God's love for us, despite our shortcomings. Janette Payton Taylor....All rights reserved by the artist.
