Description A few weeks ago I had a go at drawing some Abstract Charcoal pictures. It had been quite a while since I had done work like this. My first few attempts were pretty awful, and I was ready to give up, but I was determined this time. I put the Music on Louder (Twas Harry Nilsson via Spotify), took a deep breath; and worked. The great thing about Charcoal is that you can easily remove, smudge, rub out, go over again, remove again. My strategy was to do this until I had something I was happy with.Sure enough, with determination I had created something that I didn't want to screw up and throw away. With renewed vigour I created more pictures, in the zone now. My Mojo was back.I have since tried recreating with Paint but not with quite the same success, nevertheless I will keep trying. Hopefully I can post the results here soon.

After graduating I spent my 20's in a band called Flying Machine and working at American Express. Now working as a Freelancer and Re-applying myself within the Fine Arts. My recent work has involved exploring Abstract Landscapes, mainly with the use of Charcoal. I wish to expand this in the future and apply my forms and ideas onto full colour canvases.
