Artist Statement Grant Netherlands

Having grown up in the ethic diversity of cosmopolitan Johannesburg,
Allowed for an interesting collaboration of sound, color form and shape.
This all attributed to my view of integration and imagination.

My keen interest in terms of subject matter is focused at this point
At endangered animals such as Tigers, Orangutan’s and Gorilla’s.
Integration of subject matter is just as important and I enjoy
Painting in various mediums and styles.

After a vigorous career in the Advertising fraternity
Designing and Art directing, I decided to relocate to Cape Town and focus
My energies developing and executing works of emotion, expression,
And Graphic reality.

Eduardo Villa once commented about my work with positive commentary
And highly commended several of my works.

I believe in our unique signature of language and knowledge
We have a melting pot of different culture that is so diverse, which lends itself to exceptional creative works.
Versatility and painting about universal and international causes is our canvass
for change.

We are living in an ever changing world and therefore should be able to adapt our brush strokes accordingly
