Description Sail boat returning to Terra Ceia Bay. Oil Pastel 2009. One summer evening I was in a kayak in the shallow waters north of the retirement community 'Tropic Isles' in Palmetto, FL. Much to my amazement a large sailboat emerges from deep within Tropic Isles runs out through a very narrow channel and disappears into the bay. A couple of hours later darkness envelops everything. The boat then returns, runs back in though the channel and disappears back into Tropic Isles. The skipper must know these waters well as the channel is only marked by two unlit posts. Outside the markers the water is hardly two feet deep. I drew this pastel from memory after I got back on board Fenix.Location. Terra Ceia Bay, FL
