Artist Statement I discovered the joys of boating and life near the water when I lived in Appleton WI. The waters of Lake Winnebago and the bay of Green Bay were the scene of many family adventures. Years later, I learned to sail on Flathead Lake in Montana. Late nights, Northern Lights.

The last 8 years my wife and I have kept a sailboat in Wisconsin on Lake Michigan. We've watched many a sunset from the stern and have seen many beautiful scenes play out right in our line of sight.

Several of our winter vacations have taken us to other scenic places on the planet and when I find a breathtaking sunset or a humpback whale waving from the strait, I do my best to capture it on film.
