Description Every spring, these Japanese cherry blossom trees fill the Old Quad on the University of Washington campus with a pale pink glow. As the flowers wilt, pale pink petals swirl through the air and blanket the lawn and brick walkways. This shot was taken as I was rushing through the Old Quad to teach a graduate research course in another part of the campus.
DT Mizokawa, Greater Seattle Area Member Since May 2007 Artist Statement Professor Emeritus: former Educational Psychologist. As a child, I started with a point-and-shoot Brownie camera and over the years have gone through a half-frame Olympus, two Nikon SLRs, a twin-lens reflex, and two Sony digital cameras. Now I shoot for mood and affect (or more mundane subjects if I'm trying to increase my stock photography inventory).
