Description This 'Salute to the U.S. Army' is the first of my Commemorative prints. It contains information, in words and pictures, relative to the Army, past and present. This print like all the others can be purchased directly from me in a limited size of 8' x 8'. It will be printed on my HP printer, using HP quality ink on glossy photo paper. The quality is quite good and your satisfaction is guaranteed. A personal tribute to a person can be added to this print. It can take this form: 'Saluting John X. Smith, MSgt, U.S. Army retired, Viet Nam, Afghanistan, Meritorious Service award, Purple Heart'. It's a dollar more, but it's a touching tribute to someone. And the wording can be varied to suit your circumstance. Contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will create a print for your approval. This option is available for all the services as well as police and firemen.
David Jacobson, Oklahoma City Member Since December 2017 Artist Statement Forty plus years in Oklahoma, eight years in Texas, six in New Mexico, one in Colorado, and almost twenty in California. I've been around the west pretty much.
I'm an Air Force veteran, graduate of the University of New Mexico, and a retired computer programmer.
I discovered oil painting many years ago, later moved to acrylics, and found digital art, which I enjoy most of all. Lately I've been studying "minimal" art and find it very interesting. I do a lot of abstract images which I title as "Shapes".
My two galleries are "Decorative" and "Commemorative" , the first including the familiar abstract, still lifes, landscapes, figure, seascapes, and skyscapes while the second includes salutes to the branches of the military, law enforcement, fire departments, and others.
