Artist Statement My name is Mark Clark and a graduate of the New York Institute Of Photography in New York City and nature,landscape,flower scenes and people are my favorite subjects to capture. I am a member of the International Press Association as a photojournalist and I cover special events on occasion and have written articles and taken news photos as a journalist for IPA where my journalistic approach is sampled as a freelance. Also some of my pictures are posted on line at the newspapers Westerly Suns website in the public viewer albums. Digital is my choice for photographing my work. I live in Southeastern CT home of Mystic Seaport,Mystic Marinelife Aquarium,and the best shorelines in the Rhode Island area near by. Rich with past history of the seafaring days here when the whale industry was thriving back in the 1800s. Home set of the Movie "Mystic Pizza" was produced here,segments back in the 1980"s when local town folks were needed as extras to fill in the street scenes in Mystic. The historic Mystic drawbridge was seen in this movie as well.Yes there is a real Mystic Pizza and the name was used and this pizza place still exists today.
