Description This painting, created in 1997, was done in homage to composer and pianist, Satie. The original was done with acrylic on cut-shape masonite and measures 68' x 45'.
Leonard Breger, San Francisco Member Since February 2011 Artist Statement Born in 1920 in Brooklyn N.Y. He received his BSS degree from City College of New York in 1941 and his MFA degree from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California, in 1963. He has lived and taught in the San Francisco Bay Area since the 50's. During that time he has exhibited in many galleries and museums, including major one-person exhibitions at the De Young Museum and the Palace of the Legion of Honour. His most recent one-man show was in July, 2009 at the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art.
