Artist Statement My name is Laura R. O'Kelly, aka L Ray, and my painting career started back in 2008 when I began taking weekly private lessons from a local watercolor artist/teacher. As my passion for painting grew so did my skill level and the desire to go from an 'emerging artist' to a professional 'selling artist'.
I paint in both acrylics as well as watercolors and can be found most days doing what I love... Painting from my home studio. ??
Every Saturday I showcase and sell my artwork from my Artist Tent, FINE ART by LAURA, at the local Green Market in Fort Pierce between 8:00am - 1:00pm.
In 2014 I joined the Art Association of Martin County (AAMC) and became their Recording Secretary and Facebook Administrator on their "Board of Directors". I also joined Jensen Beach Art League (JBAL) as a general member that same year.
My artwork has been shown and sold at local galleries, won ribbons in juried art shows, commissioned, purchased and shipped Domestically as well as Internationally! ✈️
