Description 'Seattle Great Wheel' is a black and white art print of the Seattle Great Wheel, which is the tallest Ferris wheel on the west coast. It is located at the end of one of the many piers lining the downtown waterfront. The enclosed gondolas offer an incredible view as they rise and fall with the wheel turning. On one side you have the entire downtown skyline. On the other side, the Olympic Mountain range across the water of Puget Sound. The wheel just opened in 2012 and adds another element of all of the sites located in Seattles urban downtown core. The art print is done in a dark ink technique giving it a very strong look and feel. The lines are distinct and precise. With the subject matter and the black and white presentation, this print lends itself well to a modern and contemporary interior design.Follow my work:TheWallGallery: https://thewallgallery.comBlog: http://thewallgalleryblog.wordpress.com/Twitter:https://twitter.com/KirtWallGalleryFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/TheWallGallery.KirtTisdaleCopyright 2013 Kirt D. Kirt Tisdale, Sherman Oaks Member Since February 2013 Artist Statement I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
