Artist Statement When asked to describe himself, Eric says, "I'm just a fastidious, yet humble guy from a fairly modest home with a beautiful and witty wife, two amazing kids, a couple of pretty cool cats, a camera, some lenses, a tripod, and a burning desire to get out and photograph this world which leaves me rapt in awe."

Eric was born in West Virginia in 1970 and spent his childhood summers camping with his parents on the beaches of Lowcountry South Carolina, where his love for coastal photography emerged at an early age. In 1985 Eric moved to Florida, where he attended the University of Florida and graduate school at the University of Central Florida. After spending some time in Orlando, Eric moved to South Carolina in 2001. Today, you can most likely find Eric on the beaches and in the marshes around Charleston South Carolina, enjoying sunrises and sunsets and all that the Lowcountry has to offer.
