Artist Statement I create art because I am an artist. It’s not something I do, rather something I am. I’ve made art my entire life. As soon as I was old enough to hold a crayon I was driven to make something beautiful, to represent the world around me the way I saw it. I believe being an artist takes a lifetime of training. My past, my future, my successes and failures all mold the pieces I make. My favorite thing about creating is the metaphorical blank canvas. There are endless possibilities in something that does not yet exist. It can become or do anything. It’s an exciting challenge to bring beautiful and thought provoking pieces into existence. I am classically trained and hold a Bachelor's in Fine Art. I work in many mediums including glass, metals, ceramics, charcoal and pastel.
