Artist Statement Anthony DiFroscia is a BFA Graduate of Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York. He lives in Yorktown, New York and currently works at the Katonah Museum of Art.
Anthony's work has mainly become 3 dimensional and installation based. He works with found objects and disregarded belongings of others and consolidates this "junk" to form something. This is a very important component of his work because in doing this he is intentionally bringing a little piece of everyone together. An important aspect to the work is that it is done so without those people ever knowing.
By collecting the personal belongings of others and consolidating these items through the act of creating art, Anthony feels that it somehow subconsciously connects the soul to the body.
