Artist Statement Born and raised in Berkeley. Spent summers working in the bean and berry fields of Sweet Home, Oregon. My family marched to the Sacramento Capitol in support of Cesar Chavez and United Farm Workers. We also engaged in Civil Rights and Anti-War protest with the American Friends Service Committee (Quakers) during high school. I received a fantastic education while attending The University of Oregon, University of California, Berkeley; San Francisco State University; Antioch University; Santa Barbara College of Law, and University of California, Santa Barbara.
Then i married and moved to Santa Barbara in 1972, where I developed an interest in photography, taking classes at SBCC Adult Education. I subsequently gave birth to 4 amazing Beings who provided me with great subjects to film. The environments of this beach town makes taking photos especially rewarding.
