Artist Statement I am originally from North Wales (Llanrwst)
Much of my work is abstract - such as the mixed-media gallery series called "Abstract Landscapes". However I have recently been working in oils creating a series of more representational landscapes based on my home in North Wales as well as my current home in the hilltowns of western Massachusetts.
My background is calligraphy which means that mark making is a very important part of my art.
On a recent visit to New Mexico and Colorado I fell in love with those extraordinary landscapes and am currently developing work from the many sketches which fill my sketchbook.
