Artist Statement Pola incorporates her experiences living in Europe and as a missionary, writer, and actress in her dramatic artworks. She is known for her sculptured canvas paintings, which are simply canvas on canvas using an acrylic medium and gold leaf. Presently she's working on a series of pastels praying or praising God. These works are sublimely suggestive of a modern version of old Renaissance Europe. She continues to be intricately involved in world arts and media and pinpoints her passion for this new-age look to a combination of her interest in modern advances and her Slavic/American background.
