Artist Statement I am a self taught photographer. I began snapping pictures around 2000. My main goal was to get a camera and take pictures of the kids as they were growing up. My first camera was a 1.3 megapixel with something like a 3x optical zoom, I really cannot remember what brand it was.
Soon, I started taking pictures of a lot of different things, and was commended on having an eye for photography, this just got me more interested.
I began reading and learning about all the different aspects and workings of the camera and lens.
My next camera was a 4.0 Nikon point and shoot, this camera went everywhere with me and I was snapping pictures of just about everything, I would drive the wife and kids nuts because we would be driving along and I would just stop to get pictures, sometimes this meant flipping around and going back a block or two.
My daughters started playing softball, so that gave me an excuse to get my first DSLR, a Canon Rebel. I started doing weddings and portraits and of course, my kids playing softball.
I now shoot with a Canon 20d, I picked this camera mainly because of the frame speed, and it was one I could afford.
I hope you enjoy my photos. I am always looking to improve, so if you feel I could use some hints and tips please feel free to chime in any time.
