Artist Statement I've been drawing and painting since age 2. Attended Atlanta College of Art in the 1970's. Spent most of my life doing commercial art. Now retired, I'm a full-time artist. I've studied with Roman and Constantin Chatov, Sarah Brown and several artists in the Atlanta area. I'm a past member of Atlanta Artist Club and Atlanta Portrait Society. I retired about 15 years ago and since have devoted my time to Painting. I painted over 40 years with oil but now I paint with acrylic. Acrylic has no fumes, does not require solvents and dries quickly. It will not yellow or crack over time like oil and it works better for me. The finished painting is indistinguishable from oil.
