Artist Statement Olivia Candille has studied fine arts at ECIAD and Langara College. She has developed her craft through years of work both in the studio and studying from life. Her painting is inspired by impressions from her childhood, combined with a fascination with dreams and archetypes. Olivia lives and dreams in Coastal British Columbia, never too far from the ocean.

Artist's Statement
The series I am currently displaying is entitled: Heaven/The Heavens Growing up, my role models were the saints and mystics of Catholic lore. I would look up to the sky and imagine Heaven among the stars, trying to imagine what floating in space for eternity would be like. Later,viewing deep-space photography renewed this childhood awe of the worlds beyond the clouds. This series unites my wonder of both Heaven and The Heavens.
