Description Captured in the Moore Park Ravine, Toronto. I was actually standing in a river to take this shot. The spring flash floods had come through and eroded away the side of the bank to the point that the tree roots were visible, giving me this opportunity. I have always loved those Eyewitness Cross-Section books, and here was one in real life!

Artist Statement I am dedicated to the bizarre and seemingly inexplicable.

I graduated from the York University/Sheridan College Joint Programme in Graphic Design in 2008, although I've been passionate about art, design, and photography since an early age, second only to my passion for language.

I have always struggled with the sanitized version of history that we are presented with, and this disconnect eventually brought me to realize that the gloss and glitz of modern life is something of a sham. We are becoming obsessed with a non-existent version of reality, and I try to reflect this struggle by finding pattern and beauty in the chaos of destructive processes. Rust, decay, and erosion are my favorite subject topics, although instant situational snapshots are also appealing to me.
