Artist Statement I came into the world with crayon in hand, being creative is my default setting.
I so enjoy making things. I like to figure things out.
I like to figure out different techniques and styles in my painting.
I paint from instinct, from the muse inside me, and once I get enough paint on the canvas I get out of the way and let the paint guide me. Losing control is the goal. An unintended brushstroke can be the very one that makes the painting work. Allowing the inner muse to hold the paint brush lets the magic happen.

Having twice been a gallery owner makes my artist experience even better, interacting with visitors and other artists. Ojai CA and Bainbridge Island WA were both wonderful in the support of local artists and the galleries there.

Motion and emotion describe the feelings emanating from many of my paintings, and that’s what intrigues me to paint a subject. Animal life fits so well. Horses are a favorite subject.

The magic of my paint brush extends to every aspect of my life, guiding me to places that nurture me and my art.
