Artist Statement Born in Windsor, Ontario in 1960, Kelly relocated to current home,
Calgary, Alberta in 1993.
For years she stifled the desire to paint, until her realization that while a formal education in the arts would be beneficial, it would not or could not change how she felt in her heart.
A self taught artist with incredible passion and a deep desire to create, her style is truly a direct expression of the unconscious.
With support and encouragement from her dearest friend, in March 2007, Kelly began her journey of painting, fulfilling that inner desire. Within the first year she created over 100 pieces of abstract/contemporary art on canvas using oils, acrylics or a mix of both media.
Her unique way of expressing herself and her enjoyment of life have been evident since childhood. As early as the age of 4 it was becoming obvious that she was not the type to be confined or contained in the
circumstances of normality.
