Description A sunny, bright-warm, yellow wildflower is depicted here, creating a lovely yet subtly contrast with the cool and almost cold, clear blue sky. The curves of the flower's petals are soft yet clearly defined, creating a border between the finite (flower) and the infinitive (sky). The perspective has been painted as being from beneath the flower, looking up at the sky, creating the feeling that the finite flower is looking up, or striving towards the infinitive - in this case the sky. I wanted this painting to convey the emotions of nobility and purpose. It is in this case the fleeting and short-lived flower's noble purpose to grow taller, to reach upward and embrace the everlasting and untouchable sky.
