Artist Statement The journey of every artist toward their craft is unique. Dan began his journey at the age of forty in the medium of watercolor, however became sidetracked several years ago when he was introduced to the world of pottery. He has had a passion for Raku pottery, designs and glazes since he began throwing pots. After his retirement from 32 years in public education, he began his quest to learn more about another intriguing art form--photography. For the past 40 years Dan has been taking photographs all over the US, Mexico, Brazil, Romania, and Belize. His recent purchase of a digital camera has opened up a whole new world for him. Dan lives in Kerrville, TX with his wife Ann.
